Epileptologie

The epilepsy group at the Department for Neurology (UKSH) was founded around 2008 by Professor Nicolas Lang. In a joint effort with our Neuropediatric colleagues the specialized care for individuals with epilepsy was recognized in the form of a certified "Epilepsiezentrum" by the German chapter of the ILAE (DGfE). Since then, initially under the direction of Professor Helmut Laufs, we have continued to dedicate ourselves to providing clinical patient care at the cutting edge of knowledge, complemented by clinical and basic research.
